Pottery course for beginners and improvers
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at pottery? Do you remember the pleasure you felt at school (and maybe the frustration) when the clay came out? Dave Helm has thirty years experience teaching pottery to different age groups and mixed abilities. His approach is very supportive and because the classes are small (maximum 10 people) you will receive great personal attention.
You will have the opportunity to learn hand-building techniques, basic glazing techniques, various decorating methods for finishing your clay piece, and opportunity to learn to throw on the wheel. You will have the freedom to decide what you want to create, so come on – get those inspired ideas into clay now!
When will the course be held?
Courses will be held both during the day, and in the evenings, allowing everyone to choose a time which suits them.
What do I need to bring?
Old clothing, apron or overalls are useful to protect your clothes while working; notepad and pen for jotting down ideas.
All equipment is provided in the course fees, but materials will be extra depending on how much you use.
